Students will focus on the art of raga alapana, mastering the improvisational aspect of Carnatic music through intricate melodic elaborations and improvisations. Emphasis will be on developing creativity and spontaneity in rendition, exploring various techniques of manodharma sangeetham (creative improvisation). Complex compositions, rare ragas, and advanced rhythmic structures will be studied, preparing students for professional performances and concert platforms.
